Christmas in Topeka, KS

This was Klara's first Christmas. We spent it with Mike's family in Topeka KS. A trip that I don't want to make very often just because it is so far away. Other than the long drive we had a lot of fun. Klara decided it was much more fun to sit on the presents than open them. I think she would have been happy playing with a box. Mitchel wanted to open every one's presents, and Bryce didn't think he got enough. He didn't remember that Santa visited Las Vegas too. We were glad to de-thaw in Vegas coming from the below freezing weather in KS.

These pictures speak for themselves. No one should be stuck in a car for 26 hours. Especially three small children and two tired and impatient adults. We drove straight through and spent 2 hours trying to get over the Dam on the way home. Needless to say we left a few bottles of yellow substance on the side of the road.

Yep, those lights way up in the right hand corner going up the hill are cars. This was our 5 mile bumper to bumper traffic at the Dam. See any bottles???

ugh, sounds like a miserable drive, glad you made it safe though. I haven't seen you in forever, hope all is well.

Thanks, just to let you know I told Mike what to write and he added a few of his own thoughts.

Hopefully I can keep this thing more updated. It's been a little crazy

I cant believe you drove straight through...26 hrs with 3 kids...are you crazy? I hated doing the 4 and a half to Arizona. We skip the dam these days and just go through Laughlin.

How FUN (not the drive-the Christmas Part) you are so lucky that you could drive. I think Ryan is scared for me to drive!! The kids look like they are so happy in the pics! Christmas rocks!

Cute pictures! It looks like you guys had fun. Did Mike add the comments about the yellow bottles? It sounds like a boy comment or a comment from a Mother of a few boys. :)
