Halloween (WARNING-a long one)

For us Halloween consists of many things. We had our playgroup that met at our house and we made bat pumpkins, fun for not only the kids but the MOMS. Who got stuck actually making the bats, MOM.
We also have Mike's birthday in the middle of all of this. We designated one day for him and decided to carve pumpkins that day too. It's really not a great idea to carve pumpkins in Nevada. For some reason they last longer in Texas and we forget that every year. We carved them on Sunday and by Wednesday they were gross. Had to through them out. The kids were sad but got over very quickly how could you not with candy all around you.

We also had to make a trip to the Pumpkin Patch. I really should have posted this after each event but that just seems impossible to me. My kids are actually asleep except for one who can occupy himself for long periods of time and is perfectly happy without the other two around like me. We both need breaks I guess. Anyway the patch was fun. Klara was not too excited about being there but the boys had a blast. It was a bit more pricey this year so they didn't do too much but that was fine with them.

Bryce had his Halloween at school day. The whole school went outside and did a parade. It was so funny. I felt kind of awkward walking around taking pictures of people, I didn't go with anyone and it was just me and I was laughing kind of too myself. Four teachers dressed up as the KISS group and I am not sure why it was so funny but it was. They were acting like them too and had guitars and everything. Oh I should have videotaped it.
The following day finally Halloween, I felt like I was doing pretty good with the no candy thing, but then all of the sudden bam! and I just enjoyed myself with all sorts of goodies to choose from. Bryce and Mitchel are loving it too. We had Trunk or Treat the night of Halloween and then went around the neighborhood. Mitchel is a bit more scared than Bryce was at his age so we had to be careful. It was a fun eventful Halloween. (I am kind of glad it is over.)
Sorry, had to add in the SCARY picture.

Pumpkin Man

Mike's brother Brian did the Pumpkin Man a couple of weeks ago. It was held out at Boulder City. What is a Pumpkin Man you ask?? First you swim, not sure how many meters but it took Brian about 45 minutes. Okay just looked it up and it was 1.2 miles. He was first out of the water and Mike actually got a picture, it was really neat to see him. They swam in the cold cold water at Lake Mead. Then you run barefoot in Brian's case to get your bike. Bike for 56 miles through the hilly area around Lake Mead. Then after all of that you get to RUN for 13.1 miles. Brian didn't have time to put on socks which was not good towards the middle of the run. He wasn't feeling very well at the end but he made it and he does this all the time. WOW! Here are some pictures of us waiting to see glimpses of him.

Brian actually goes by Wadley, but the kids still call him Uncle Brian. He came out to house on Sunday and played with the kids and had dinner. They really wear him out. It was a lot of fun as Bryce says.

Klaralyn 9 months

Wow!

Three more months and she will be a year. It has gone by so fast once again. Took her to the doctor and she is 28 and 3/4 inches tall and 19.8 lbs. Can't remember the head measurements. She is one cute little thing. She is crawling and pulling up and walking along the couch. She is officially on the bottle for almost 2 weeks now. Yes, I feel so free. We love her tons and she just adores her big brother Bryce. He is an amazing helper and she thinks he is the best, follows him around the house and everything. Mitchel on the other hand thinks "baby kayra" is a little annoying. She keeps on touching him and taking away his toys. What a naughty sister:) She knows what she wants and she will go and get it. Here are some new pics of her and her two cute brothers.

Where's Klara???

Just a random picture. The kids think it is so fun to take all the couch cushions off and jump or dive from them. Fun for them not so much for me. Recently taught Bryce that HE can put the cushions back on the couches.

Hoping October gets better!!

Sometimes I really wish I had my tonsils removed. I have been sick more than my kids. I have had the stomach virus and then this past week I have had a throat infection. And I wonder why I can't keep up, I am always sick. It really is not easy to take care of children and yourself. Of course I come last as usual, last to get dressed, last to take a shower, last to eat, last to sleep. The list goes on. Hopefully I will not be sick anymore or at least till the next month.

Potty training has been going well. Well till yesterday something happened to my sweet innocent 2 yr old....An accident. Two of them. I woke up from a desperately needed nap to a crying child, Klara. Went in to get her and smelt something awful. Checked her and nothing there, OH NO!! MITCHEL...where is he??? Went all over the house looking for him, went back upstairs and smelt him out from under his BED. I say, "Why are you hiding from me??" Mitchel says, " I poopy!" Me, "I know." I can smell you all over the upstairs. Clean him up and think everything will be fine he just got distracted playing with the toys in Klara's room and decided to go in the underwear instead of going on the potty. Fine I understand this stuff happens, a first for him and we have been doing this for a while now.

Later that day I decided I needed a break so I would go to the gym. Didn't last long I was there for a total of 10 minutes, then the big loud speaker comes on, "WILL KAYSEA WADLEY PLEASE COME TO THE PLAYROOM." Uggg, well that's me. Go there and he has had another accident. Okay well let's go home I guess. The day just got worse. I am not going to bore you with it, but a bowl got broken, someone slapped someone (let me clarify this one, not me), someone poked someone in the eye, someone threw a wooden block at someone, and I yelled a lot.

OK time for some pictures. I am not sure why my son has to go to the bathroom like this but he does and I am also not sure why every child thinks they need the whole roll of toilet paper to wipe their bum, but they do. Enjoy!!

Big Boy Mitchel!!

Mitchel is 2 years and almost 10 months old. We decided it was time to get this potty training thing over with. We started last Friday and he hasn't had too many accidents. So far 3 I think. Not bad! We are celebrating by going to chuckee cheeses tomorrow. He is very excited about it.

Cute cars undies are working. I didn't get any pictures of this, but I will tell the story anyways. Klara has a baby entertainer thing that has a mirror on it and Mitchel knew there was a lightning mcqueen on his undies. Guess he really wanted to see it cause he was twisted and looking in the little mirror on her toy. It was so funny I tried really hard not to laugh. Their have been other times that he has tried to look at his bum to see the design on the undies. They should really put those on the front.

First Day of School

The first day of school for Bryce. The other two had to join in. The first week is over and already we have had some interesting experiences. A couple of days before school, Bryce got his glasses. That has been an adjustment, just to remember them is hard sometimes for him.

The first day of school I made him a yummy lunch. Made sure I had everything in there cause this was his first lunch at school and everything. Well he didn't get to eat ANY of it. I thought I was a good mom and put his name all over his lunch box, but that didn't matter. He had someone else's lunch at lunch time and didn't say anything, neither did the other boy. Found out after school when he asked me why I put brown stuff on his sandwich, peanut butter, I said Ididn't. Then I realized he was talking about another lunch with pb and j. He doesn't like pb and j so I never make it for him. We took the wrong lunch box back to his teacher and got his back the next day. Thank goodness I had a spare.
The third day of school he wasn't even able to go to. We had to take him to the dentist to get two molars removed. Ouch, I know. He has some permanent teeth coming in under the baby teeth that are the wrong ones. They pulled the teeth out after heavly sedating him and then we have to go back and put spacers in so he won't have more problems when the right teeth are ready to come in. Oh the pain I was in for him. I wished so much that he didn't have to do that. The dentist told me I needed to keep him home. Glad I did he was really groggy most of the day and even took a nap. The rest of the week went okay. Now onto week number two!! Hope all are enjoying their kids school as much as we are:)

Any Suggestions??

Went to the dentist this week. Thought I was doing good, just haven't been in a year or so. We had to wait forever for our insurance to kick in. Looked up what seemed like a good place. SEEMED!! Got in there and it took forever for them to actually see me. I had to ask for my teeth to be cleaned and they seemed mad about it. My gums bleed a ton because they are sensitive and I don't floss as often as I should, but then again that is why I am there. I am really not liking the water cleaning teeth thing. I don't know how to spell what it is actually called, but I really do love the traditional way better. Anyway get home and realize I have something stuck to my back tooth. Nope it is not my tooth, it is a hole that was not there before. What is up with that??? How could you make a hole in someone's tooth just from cleaning them?? Now my question, Anyone have a favorite dentist that I can see??? I would love to go back and get some work done, but not where I went on Monday.

Van Vleck, Texas

The kids and I came to Texas to some my family. My dad has a house in Van Vleck (it is close to Bay City) anyway the house is on about eight acres with a lot of oak trees. The boys have been having a ball. We can't go outside too much because of the weather and the bugs but around 6 or so it gets to be pretty nice. Here are some of the things we have been doing. There will be more posts of this.

The boys relaxing in the swing. So Comfy!!

They planted some trees and need to water them a lot. It is kind of far away so have to get water inside the tractor and take it out there and give them water. Mitchel and Bryce were very fascinated with it. Mitchel had to stop and check out the plant after it had been watered. They don't grow that fast!!

The Tractor with the BOYS. Uncle Nick driving of course.

Baby Girl Klara along for the ride.

The Tractor Boys. All smiles

Bryce lost his 5th tooth on Tuesday. It was a
big one!

Dad has a sand pile out front so we had to play in it of course. He poured a walkway and needed
some sand, he just has a little left over.

Mitchel Mischeif

About a month ago I went to go get my car washed and left the kids home with my mom. Somehow Mitchel got away and decided to be very NAUGHTY. He went up to our bedroom and decided to put everything in the trash can in the toilet. Then proceeded to flush a billion times. I wonder why it didn't all go down. Anyway I got home and looked in the bedroom just glancing in there and then noticed a big water spot. I called my dad and brother to figure out what to do, Mike was busy. I got a lot of towels and a pan. Then I had to stick a screwdriver up in the sheet rock where it was the worst. As soon as I did that all sorts of water came running down. Scared me to death and I was on the phone with my dad at the time. He must have thought I was crazy. Got the water out and then fixed the toilet, but it still was leaking. The last picture is the main problem. Someone put the pipes in wrong, so that needs to replaced and then we can fix the hole and then I can finally take a shower in my bathroom again. Thanks to Mitchel for causing and finding our problems. Anyone else have some unfortunate things happen do to their children??

Drying out the water!!!
It is much bigger now.

The hole is big enough to take a picture of this!!

Disneyland!!

We had our yearly trip to Disneyland. We went during Mike's break after the Spring Semester. Yeah, two more years left!!! We took the challenge and took Klara with us. It was a lot of fun. We got to the hotel around 8 or 9 pm. Was ready to send the kids to bed but thought they were cute in just there undies/diapers!!

Klara is a big smiler. (Not sure if that is a word) She had a great time in the stroller. I tried not to change her in a cute outfit because most of the time she always gets her business done in the morning. It always gets on her clothes. These are her pjs still. I changed her later after she was done!!! This was the first day of Disney and she was all smiles.

We headed to Splash Mountain first. We were there a while because I went on the ride with Bryce and then Mike did too. Bryce hasd a blast going on all the rides two times!! While Iwas waiting all the characters came out. I made Mike run over and take pictures real quick. We just got the Pooh characters pictures, we never found anyone else. Then again it was over a 100 degrees this day. They must have beeen HOT!!

Okay!!! Don't know what happened here, but Mitchel wanted to be funny. Everytime I look at this it cracks me up. Mike took the pictures so maybe he made him do it?

I got a new mei tai for Klara. Thank goodness, she was in it a lot. She liked to fall asleep in it. She looked really uncomfortable sleeping with her head down, but everytime we tried to move her she would wake up. Here we were waiting for the parade to start in California Adventure.

This is after we got home. We got Mitchel a Mickey mouse hat and they were wearing them so we took some pictures. Bryce had his from last year. I guess it is one per year, we didn't get Klara one. Guess she will have to wait till next year. Obviously she doesn't care.

A little Note

I am a year older as of Thursday and I have been feeling it since I had Klara. I don't think it is my age, but my children that make me feel older every day. Many stories to tell of how my brain left when she was born. I can not tell you how many times I have forgotten something. Anyone else have this problem?? It was not like this with the other two. I still had a brain. A few of my embarassing moments that I thought I would never reveal, but I have to get these of my chest. I have recently taken a shower and forgotten to shave one of my legs. Oh, but I remembered the other one. Hmm, I had to tell Mike and that was fun. I did fix it later. But not the same day. My house is never clean because I start cleaning one thing and then I remember that I need to do homework with Bryce or change the laundery or go feed the baby, the list goes on and on. Do I go back to what I was cleaning in the first place?? The answer is NO, come see my house and you will see the results of a brainless KaySea. I hope to get it together some day SOON. Any advice???

A little Catching Up

Just a few pictures of what has been going on the last two months.

We went to the Grand Canyon and took a ton of pictures. I was in the car getting well aquainted with the back seat of the van. (just getting sick) Anyway I didn't know how sick I was till later. The boys had so much fun. Someone had taken the time to make a MINI snow man. We had to take pitures of it.

On the way to the Grand Canyon we stopped at the Hoover Dam to meet up with my Dad and Susie and they had Bryce and Uncle Nick with them. They wanted to do the tour, so that went on ahead without us. I was bored and waiting for them so I stuck Klara in Mitchel's carseat. She was so happy there.

Our Easter pictures. Sorry these are not on the actual day of Easter. This was a week later. They all look great and it doesn't matter what day it was on as long as I got a picture of everyone in their Easter clothes.
We decided to get Klara a new swing. We have been bad and have been trying to make everything last a little bit longer. I had a friend come to visit that has a baby boy just a couple months older than Klara and she put him in the swing and was asking me, "Is this how fast this goes?" The swing was barely moving is what she was trying to tell me. I had no idea it was so bad. We changed the batteries and everything. Then we got the new swing, WOW, it almost seems like she might fly out of it. Love it though! Thanks to Babies R' Us!

In April we went on a hike at Red Rock. It is Mike's class tradition to go every year. They went last year and I didn't and I can't remember why. Hmm, like everything else I can't remember. Anyway we had a great time. We borrrowered a carrier for Mike to carry Mitchel in and I wore Klara in my Mai tai (?spelling) That thing was amazing and so comfortable.

Just threw this picture in here because Bryce was off in his own little world and I barely saw him while we were there. He is growing up so fast and it makes me kind of sad.

Okay!!! Not the right kid in here I know. It was the funniest thing peeking over to where the swing was and watching him try to figure out how to get in the swing without falling out. He didn't want me to take his pictures, but I had to. Later I found him in here with one of Klara's baby blankets yelling for me to put it on him. Crazy kid. I guess he doesn't want to grow up yet.
Got these chairs and was so happy that Klara fit in them. Staci had some at her house and told me how she put her youngest in them and she loved it. I was curious thought I would take a chance and whalah it worked. Klara is the type of baby who does not like to be cuddled. She would rather be looking around and make goo goo eyes and smile at everyone. Completely different than the boys. I can tell she is so much more advanced than them. Sorry boys girls are just smarter.
