Getting a little Antsy!!

I am feeling a little antsy for this baby to get here. I want to do so many things but I physically can't. It is pretty much impossible for my to actually pick something off the floor. Which means I am not a nice mom to the kids because I am constantly asking them to pick things up for me. It doesn't help that Klara has been obsessed with all things small and many of them. She loves to play with them or put them into purses and dump them out. I am sorry but I am not a fan of this. I try to be understanding but it really drives me bonkers when there are Klara piles all over the house. The need to clean is getting really strong. Not only for baby but for family coming into town. I am so thankful that they are able to come and help out while I try to recover quickly. I am a bit nervous about the recovery. I know it will pass but the pain just seems so intense for so long to me. My nerves are getting to me so I should probably just clean and not think about it.

This was taken on Monday. I am 38 weeks and so ready. Again no head shots, don't worry it is me and you are not missing anything. It was also taken after 9pm because we had to fix a bookcase that was a little to wobbly with cookbooks. You know me and those cookbooks, I love them. Mike wanted to toss a few and of course I declined. We fixed it as best we could and then I thought why not take a picture of my belly. If you were wondering about the bright blue shirt...it is Mike's and it FITS. It is a Florida Gator shirt too by the way.

Mike's mom and I went shopping at some quilt stores in St. George and found these really cute burp rags and blankets. They had already been stitched on the edges so all I needed to do was crochet the edges. Well we went a little overboard I think. I love them all but it was very time consuming and fun at the same time.

I ended up with two of these by chance. So adorable!!

I fell in love with the whales first. Just couldn't pass it up!!

This one is so cute too. It says "I am a child of God" in all sorts of different languages. Love it!!!

I am so ready for him to get here so I can see him and hold him!!! It will be soon. 3 more days!!!! Monday is the day!!

1st day of School

Here is Bryce going to 4th grade and Mitchel starting his very first day of Kindergarten!! We are so proud of our two boys. It is a little sad sending them off but I know they will do great this year. Mitchel was very excited to go today and it was about 7:30 am and he was wondering why we weren't leaving. He was all ready to go and just waiting for the time to tick by. They both had a great day, besides the heat. Klara on the other hand had a trouble being nice this morning but it is an on and off button with her lately. Still love her and find it fun to take sad pictures of her.

Aunt Sara and Cousins HERE

My sister and her kids came to visit 2 times!! Well she was on her way to see our mom in CA and thought it would be fun to stop on the way there and on the way home!! It was so much fun having all these cousins together. They played so well together and swam of course. It was a gathering of Lauryn, Paige, Andy, and Bryce in one area of the house. Then Ryan and Mitchel were attached in another area of the house. Then Lizzy and Klara were just playing with girl stuff and little objects and lastly there was Max hanging out or napping. Sara and I got to catch up and visit. It was so great!! We miss them already and wish they could have stayed longer or that we lived close so we could see each other more.

The pictures are not in any order, just put them on cause the kids are soooo cute.

Some Little Things

Since it is summer and I am preggo. I have some extra time on my hands. I have been working on making the new baby some blankets. I finished some and have two more to finish. This is one. His room is actually blue and brown but I could not pass up these cute monkeys. I just love them.

This past Sunday I made some brownies for after dinner and the kids always want to LICK the bowl. Well I have a big kid when it comes to that as you can see. Klara is guarding here bowl and won't let anyone else have any. I guess he taught her right. If you get the bowl, take it and run. Mike does complain that I use the spatula too well because there is not much left when I put it in the pan to bake. I personally like them cooked than raw. I guess it depends on my mood too.

The Date

Finally I know the date when the baby will be here!!! I was hoping they would schedule it at my appointment yesterday. I have really gotten used to c-sections I guess. I really do enjoy the planning. It is not the best recovery but at least I know I have people here to help me. First week will be my mom and Mike and then the second week will be my dad and step mom. So excited to see Him and all the family!!! He will be arriving sometime on September 19th. I am so ready!!!

Our Summer of Boo Boos

Warning...some gross pictures!!

A couple of weeks ago we went to visit Granny and Papaw in California. Klara was sleeping and fell out of bed. There is really nothing for her to hit but the railing of the bed which means that she slid of the bed we are guessing. Well she got a cut right between her eyes. Why couldn't it have been and where else? Anyway it was more like a gash so we butterflied it and have been tending to it sense. Still not healed all the way, well I guess she is but I was hoping no scar.

This past week Bryce went hiking with a friend and fell and got a lot of boo boos. He was so great by not crying and getting all upset about it. They look much better now, a week later. He still has a hard time walking but I think that has to do with fear of bending his leg and braking open the wound. This past weekend Mitchel was being very helpful and bringing something out to us outside. He went to close the sliding glass door and his index finger was not in the right place, smash. Oh the wailing and the crying and the screaming in pain. Out of all three he was the worst at taking the pain. It was so sad and actually hard for me to bandage him up. After some consoling and bribing he finally let me look at it and bandage it up. it does not look good but I am sure he will survive. :)

I am hoping the kids will not get hurt anymore. Or can we at least wait till Summer is over?

A little over 7 months!!!!!!

Almost there. I am not sure on the weeks. I have somewhat been keeping track. I am just ready to know the date of the c-section. Then I will count down the weeks, days, or hours!!! We are still not prepared all the way yet but we did get the boy totes out of the garage and we did finally come up with a name, I think.

Happy Father's Day

Happy late Father's day to all the Dads out there. We had a great one. Family came into town and I got to go shopping. And the big boys got to go play Golf. They were gone for forever on Saturday. It was fine with me since I had some company. We made a yummy dinner on Sunday and then our company had to leave. I was feeling a little bad that they had to leave because I later made this Fruit Tart and they missed out. Oh my goodness it was so good. Bryce and Mike had seconds. I will have to make this again. Happy Father's Day again.

Happy Birthday!!!

Happy 9th Birthday Bryce!!!

He was able to have a few friends over to swim and they had a blast.

I have been told by Bryce that he does not like cake. He had a bad incident around Christmas time with cake. So for here on out it is cookie cake time. These are actually my favorite. I could eat them for every birthday.

I am a little behind this was back in June. Trying to catch up.

Thoughts

I was having a hard time finding cute boy clothes but I have found a great place to get a few things. That place is the Gap. They have a sale right now and some of the clothes at Gymboree are cute too. I just can't seem to get into the clothes Old Navy, Target, or even Walmart. The sad thing is that I don't even know what I need yet. All of our boy clothes are in the garage in totes. And they are 5-9 years old. Not sure if they will make the cut this time. We just have not had time to get them out but I am so itching to just do it myself. Probably not such a good idea.

Also sorry no pictures of the bump let's just say that I am getting big and round. The most challenges I have had so far are walking and standing. It's not so bad it's just all the time. I find it pretty difficult to bend over and pick up all of the little things that the kids leave on the floors. I know I should just ask them to do it but I get impatient and get tired of having to repeat my myself so I end up on the floor. It is also pretty difficult to skim the pool. Not my favorite thing but I always imagine myself slipping and falling in. That would just be great. But I am sure the kids look at me strange as I do this and think, "why is she doing this and she looks really strange." Just the grunts may scare them too. I know I should not complain about this but it is a chore that needs to be done and I am the only one who can do it when Mike is not around. The other challenging thing is going to the gym. I know it is good for me to go. But I feel that my heart rate gets up high enough just getting ready to go. When I get there I feel like I should hold my belly in fear that it will bounce run away from me.

Enough of my thoughts. Now a question. My blog name is going to be outdated soon. I was not thinking right when I made one up. Does anyone know if I change it that everyone else will have to change it on their blogs or will it change automatically? Also any good ideas of a new one?

We found out what we are having!!! We went in on May 13th and the baby boy is doing well. Mike and Klara were there with me and Klara kept saying, "No, It's a Girl!" We have worked on that and she loves that she is getting a baby brother. The boys were a little said too but it only lasted a minute. They wanted the family to be even. Mike and I are so happy to have another boy. I reminded him that we have to buy a lot of new boy clothes. The ones we have our 6-9 years old. Yay!! for me. But I am having a hard time finding cute baby boy clothes. I am going to keep on looking!!!!

BaBy Post

For those that are far away, here is #4 at 19.5 weeks. I am hoping to actually take weekly or monthly pictures. I haven't ever done the picture thing before and thought it would be fun to have one of the kids documented. I may reconsider once I see how much bigger I look on photo. Already it seems that I look a lot more than 19+ weeks.

Next week though will be so exciting!!!!

The 13th we will have the big ultrasound and find out what we are having. We had thought that we would just wait till the baby was born to find out what it is but after talking to the kids we have decided we will find out. I am not sure if they would be okay with such a sudden surprise so we are going to let it grow on them.

Easter (I know, I am slow)

Dying Easter eggs in style. Well not really we didn't want the clothes to get messed up so they don't look that great. Got them all to smile. They thought it was fun and we did it in big bowls so we could fit more than one in them. It worked great and went much faster.

The results were even better. I found a really neat egg dying kit. They got to make little animals on it and great felt stickers and I put their names on them.

After we dyed the eggs we went off to the Bass Pro Shop. I know it sounds weird but we heard that they were having an Easter egg hunt. It was pretty crowded.

The kids were able to go find 5 eggs and each egg had to be in a different department. It was not easy finding them. Mike and I would find one and tell them where it was. We ended up getting more from the front of the store. They were not filled so we had to stand in line to get the candy.

After that line it was off to another line. The kids played and looked at the boats while we stood in line. I was so ready to sit but there was really no where to sit. I ended up getting in a boat for a bit and sitting. It was very nice.

The results were amazing!!!! They took one shot and got them all looking at the camera and smiling. So happy with our free picture and the fun the kids had. Happy Easter!!

How??

I am feeling so overwhelmed with all the things I want to teach my children. Tonight was the first time Bryce has really spoken out about his concerns with school. He told us he is unhappy. We asked why and his answer was it is too loud at school. The kids in class will not stop talking. There are also missing basketballs at recess and that upsets him. It upsets him when he is good and the teacher does not notice and doesn't give him credit for being good. He went on and on tonight. It seemed that we need to do a lot more explaining and he to us. I feel that it is hard to get him to talk about his feeling though and I really had to ask and ask over and over tonight. I just wanted to know. He was so upset he didn't even want to eat. This is so unlike him. He is the child garbage disposal so we knew something was up.

We ended the night with family home evening and he started to come around to himself then. But I was again feeling like we could have talked all night about all the things that they need to know. They had so many questions that I wanted to answer but then there came a time where it was just time to go to bed. I hope that we raise our kids right or the best that we can. I hope they can choose right from wrong and be able to stand up for themselves. I just feel that there is more that I can or should be doing, but how?

Spring Break

First of all I do NOT like loading pictures on here. It seems like it takes forever. These are our chains that we made. Just looking at them makes it seem like summer is forever away.

Uggg!

The kids are crazy!! It is really cold in the pool and they thought it was great so we let them swim.

Had to put in another picture of Klara. She was so cute in her new swimsuit.

We took the kids to the Drive-Ins to see Rio. They has so much fun. The movie was so cute too. It was a little windy there so I could have done without that. We brought some blankets and it worked.

Crazy pictures. I would have put in more but it just takes so long. The movie had been delayed because it wasn't dark enough so we were being silly.

The next day we took the kids to Primm to ride on the rides for free. They had so much fun here too. I couldn't go on any of them but I got to SHOP. Found some amazing deals at Old Navy out there. The whole store was 40% off. It was great.

We had a great time but I wish it were longer. Today was hard going back to school. Not for the kids though, just me!!
