Trip to Zion

We came to Zion to go camping two weekends ago. Well we also came so I could massage some friends that were scrap booking at the Lodge in the next picture. We got up and out of the house at five in morning. The kids were all wide awake and ready to go. We got to the park and to our surprise it was National Parks day so it was free to get in. Normally it is $25. That was great. Got inside the camp grounds and got a campsite right next to the bathrooms. Another great thing with kids. We set up the tent and were off again. Mike took me up to lodge to do the massages. It takes about 45 minutes to get there from the campsite. It is so worth it though, the drive is beautiful.

The kids waiting for me to get my massage stuff out of the car so they could go venturing off with dad.

This is right before the really long tunnel before you get to the lodge. A little out of order.

They came back to the campsite to have lunch and the river was right next to the camp so the kids had fun walking along it. There is a shuttle there that will take you to some hikes and they went on it to go on one of the shortest hikes. Klara needs to be carried everywhere. I don't know how Mike did it alone. He said they both fell asleep on the shuttle bus on the way back.

This is Klara's cheese face.

Roasting our marshmallows. The kids had some fun wit the fire. Possibly too much. No one got hurt but they did get in trouble. They had to learn not to swing the sticks around that were still hot from the fire. Mainly Mitchel was doing this, but he learned pretty quick not to swing it around.

In the back here on the picnic table you can see how dirty Klara was. She loved playing and sitting in the dirt. I think she thought is was sand at the beach or something. She could care less how much dirt was on her. The same for food. She didn't care if it feel on the ground and was covered in dirt. We of course took it away from her, but it was just funny to see her like of well dirt won't hurt me looks.

We made it through the night. It got pretty windy. So much that you could hear it coming for you. A little creepy, but the kids slept through it. Pretty chilly in the morn but not too bad. Not freezing so we came at a good time of the year.

Back at the river next to the campsite. Mike made some yummy breakfast for us all in the dutch oven. I was in charge of entertaining the kids till it was done.

Bryce took off roaming around the river so we took some pictures without him.
Every time I would say cheese. This is what I would get. Minus Bryce not looking it is a cute picture.
Mike kept on wanting to taking pictures of the scenery. It is so gorgeous, but I felt that the pictures did not do it justice and wanted to just take pictures of the kids.

This was how we hiked with Klara. She was like this on the whole mile there and the whole mile back. She eventually got Mike to hold her and fell asleep. I ended up with a very hungry Mitchel on my back towards the end. They are still a little too small for hiking, but we will get them there.

Our little family with some random people in the back, sorry, we asked for our picture to be taken and this is what we got. We had fun and i hope you enjoyed the very long post full of pictures.

Little Stories

Klara has gotten really big and BRAVE. She has fallen a lot too in this Brave test of hers. She loves to get on top of the table and either just sits there or stands or plays with all the paperwork up there. Thankfully she has not fallen of the table yet, but you here me shout her name every time she gets up there. I have even gotten Mitchel to do it.

It has been hard feeding her. She is getting a lot of teeth. So depending on the day she will eat everything brought to her or she will turn her nose up at everything. This day was a eat everything day and then put my finger in it and use that as the stick. Funny girl, she is really starting to say little words that I am the only one that can understand but it counts.
I will just have to say this is a cute outfit. She has little tinker bell shoes on that light up. Oh fun little things we have bought for this girl. The not so fun part is her HAIR. I don't know what to do with it. So I don't do anything. I did get her ears pierced because she has no hair and I wanted to dress her up. She has hair just weird hair. I am not sure if you can tell but there is a long tail on the back of her head here. She is trying to run away from me, but I got a picture of her eventually. Anyway Mike calls it "the business in the front and party in the back" look. A.K.A. The Mullet. Billy Ray Cyrus here we come.(You do know that I am from Texas, right?)
I do have other children. This one here just doesn't want his picture taken. Bryce is in school. I will post other pictures later. Mitchel is pretty cute too. And he was trying to fool me. I am smarter than a three year old sometimes.

Family Pictures

We actually took some family pictures this year. Our tradition is in December or January because that is Bryce's half year mark. When he was little it seemed to matter more. Now it is just a good time because Mike has off a whole month from school. These I think were actually taken in February so we were very off this year. Hope you enjoy. She took a ton and it is really hard to get 5 people to all look good at the same time.

Baseball Player Klara

Bryce started Baseball in March and this was in April. A little behind I know. She thought this hat was so much fun. She looked pretty cute in it too. Since then she will find any hat and put it on and just walk around like she is such a big girl. We went and got some little GIRL hats thinking that she would Love them. Not so much doesn't want them on at all. Figures, she has a lot of males in the house. Maybe she will be a TOMBOY!

KaySea/Mom Bday

I turned a year older. No need to tell everyone how old, either you already know or don't need to know because everyone thinks I am too young and then I get made fun of, I am getting older though. A bit crazy this one: Mike is crazy busy with work and school. He had bids and finals and me and the kids to juggle with. I am very impressed that he got me flowers and a present in the middle of it all. One thing he didn't get was the CAKE. I am okay making them but not my own. But I don't really want to spend the money on one either and I don't want to see Mike's cake. I am sure it would be great but I will wait for that later in life. I made a great raspberry ice cream cake and ate it too. Here's some pictures!!

Happy Easter

We hope you all had a great Easter. Ours was so much better than last year. (I wasn't around much last year.) It was so fun seeing them see all their goodies. We dyed Easter eggs on Saturday. We weren't going to do too many and then ended up doing over 40. Let me tell you that is a lot of eggs, there are still a lot in my fridge. The kids had a blast doing it. The Easter bunny hid them all and we found them all, thank goodness.
Only took one picture because my camera battery died, aww man!

Bryce the morning of Easter. So I learned something new about this little boy today. He loves finding easter eggs. He always had to go after them. We were trying to help Mitchel and he would see where we would softly point and off he went. I felt kind of bad but we had to hold him back towards the end. We were all laughing, but never thought I would have to say stop.
Here is our SWEETIE and I mean he loves the Sweet stuff. He would have rathered sat and ate easter candy than do anyting else.
Our newest SWEETIE. Wow she may end up worse than Mitchel with the sweets. She is actually trying to hold all the candy at once. We eventually gave her a little purse she could put it all in.

All three, NONE looking at the camera. They are all looking at Mike. I have no idea what he was doing but it sure got their attention. Hope the rest of April is great for everyone. I am sorry for not posting sooner. As you can tell Klara does walk now. She started about the week after I posted my whinny message about her not walking. We are all so much happier now. A lot has happened and maybe I will go back and post about it all, OR not.

I thought girls were faster??

What has been bothering me the most lately??? Klara is not walking!! She will walk on her knees and she gets so upset when I try to walk with her. We try to use incentives but she just plops down and crawls. Ugghh, it is driving me wild!! I am almost to the point of not picking her up and see what happens, but then she gets hurt and I of course have to pick her up, or she will give me the weird smile and big tears and aww I have to pick her up again. I am such a softy. We have two other kids, BOYS, and they walked by their 13th month. Klara with be 14 months in a week!! What do I do??

A little irritated

I went to pick Bryce up from school today and thinking this is just a normal day, but no...not a normal day. A man in the car driving next to me while I am putting the kids in car starts yelling at another man across the street. I don't know what happened and I don't really care. The language they were using was uncalled for and I almost said something. I was really waiting for the guy in the car to get out when the one across the street asked him if he wanted to fight. Reminding you that these are two adult males with children that they have just picked up from school. Oh I really wish I would have said something but then the thought crosses my mind that these are already two large crazy mad men and what would I say to them that they would actually listen to. Ugghhh...I feel bad that I don't have enough confidence to stand up to people when I know they are wrong....I am just a little irritated.

What is this??

OK, so you have to click on the image to really see.

Every time I look at this I have to laugh. I was sweeping the other day and couldn't tell what it was till I bent over and then laughed after not having a good day. The kids probably put it there on purpose...at least that is what I am going to think. Nothing like being uplifted by a face looking up at you from the floor. Hmmm, I need to get out more.

Klaralyn turns ONE

Klara turned one on the 2nd. I am really late getting this in sorry. We got her all dressed up and decided to take her to Chuckee Cheeses. It is where we took the other two. Not sure why considering they can't do too much there but we take them anyway. She had a great time. She ate a whole piece of pizza and played a lot on the slides. Took her to the doctor today and found out all the good stuff.
Height: 30 1/4
Weight: 21lb. 9 oz.
Percentage: 79%
Sounds good to me. She has some problems with her skin, a bit dry. The Vegas weather really doesn't help. Here are the latest pictures of our little girl:)

She has already found a boyfriend. What are we gonna do??

Princess Party!! I am loving all the pink can you tell??
What a cutie. She really sat on the table and looked at her presents while the boys basically opened them all for her.

Ready for the cake!!

Now she is done!

Excuse the mess but she was so funny on the horse. She has the crazy hair from the cake and in her little birthday suit. Happy Birthday Klara!!
