Halloween (WARNING-a long one)

For us Halloween consists of many things. We had our playgroup that met at our house and we made bat pumpkins, fun for not only the kids but the MOMS. Who got stuck actually making the bats, MOM.
We also have Mike's birthday in the middle of all of this. We designated one day for him and decided to carve pumpkins that day too. It's really not a great idea to carve pumpkins in Nevada. For some reason they last longer in Texas and we forget that every year. We carved them on Sunday and by Wednesday they were gross. Had to through them out. The kids were sad but got over very quickly how could you not with candy all around you.

We also had to make a trip to the Pumpkin Patch. I really should have posted this after each event but that just seems impossible to me. My kids are actually asleep except for one who can occupy himself for long periods of time and is perfectly happy without the other two around like me. We both need breaks I guess. Anyway the patch was fun. Klara was not too excited about being there but the boys had a blast. It was a bit more pricey this year so they didn't do too much but that was fine with them.

Bryce had his Halloween at school day. The whole school went outside and did a parade. It was so funny. I felt kind of awkward walking around taking pictures of people, I didn't go with anyone and it was just me and I was laughing kind of too myself. Four teachers dressed up as the KISS group and I am not sure why it was so funny but it was. They were acting like them too and had guitars and everything. Oh I should have videotaped it.
The following day finally Halloween, I felt like I was doing pretty good with the no candy thing, but then all of the sudden bam! and I just enjoyed myself with all sorts of goodies to choose from. Bryce and Mitchel are loving it too. We had Trunk or Treat the night of Halloween and then went around the neighborhood. Mitchel is a bit more scared than Bryce was at his age so we had to be careful. It was a fun eventful Halloween. (I am kind of glad it is over.)
Sorry, had to add in the SCARY picture.

Pumpkin Man

Mike's brother Brian did the Pumpkin Man a couple of weeks ago. It was held out at Boulder City. What is a Pumpkin Man you ask?? First you swim, not sure how many meters but it took Brian about 45 minutes. Okay just looked it up and it was 1.2 miles. He was first out of the water and Mike actually got a picture, it was really neat to see him. They swam in the cold cold water at Lake Mead. Then you run barefoot in Brian's case to get your bike. Bike for 56 miles through the hilly area around Lake Mead. Then after all of that you get to RUN for 13.1 miles. Brian didn't have time to put on socks which was not good towards the middle of the run. He wasn't feeling very well at the end but he made it and he does this all the time. WOW! Here are some pictures of us waiting to see glimpses of him.

Brian actually goes by Wadley, but the kids still call him Uncle Brian. He came out to house on Sunday and played with the kids and had dinner. They really wear him out. It was a lot of fun as Bryce says.

Klaralyn 9 months

Wow!

Three more months and she will be a year. It has gone by so fast once again. Took her to the doctor and she is 28 and 3/4 inches tall and 19.8 lbs. Can't remember the head measurements. She is one cute little thing. She is crawling and pulling up and walking along the couch. She is officially on the bottle for almost 2 weeks now. Yes, I feel so free. We love her tons and she just adores her big brother Bryce. He is an amazing helper and she thinks he is the best, follows him around the house and everything. Mitchel on the other hand thinks "baby kayra" is a little annoying. She keeps on touching him and taking away his toys. What a naughty sister:) She knows what she wants and she will go and get it. Here are some new pics of her and her two cute brothers.

Where's Klara???

Just a random picture. The kids think it is so fun to take all the couch cushions off and jump or dive from them. Fun for them not so much for me. Recently taught Bryce that HE can put the cushions back on the couches.

Hoping October gets better!!

Sometimes I really wish I had my tonsils removed. I have been sick more than my kids. I have had the stomach virus and then this past week I have had a throat infection. And I wonder why I can't keep up, I am always sick. It really is not easy to take care of children and yourself. Of course I come last as usual, last to get dressed, last to take a shower, last to eat, last to sleep. The list goes on. Hopefully I will not be sick anymore or at least till the next month.

Potty training has been going well. Well till yesterday something happened to my sweet innocent 2 yr old....An accident. Two of them. I woke up from a desperately needed nap to a crying child, Klara. Went in to get her and smelt something awful. Checked her and nothing there, OH NO!! MITCHEL...where is he??? Went all over the house looking for him, went back upstairs and smelt him out from under his BED. I say, "Why are you hiding from me??" Mitchel says, " I poopy!" Me, "I know." I can smell you all over the upstairs. Clean him up and think everything will be fine he just got distracted playing with the toys in Klara's room and decided to go in the underwear instead of going on the potty. Fine I understand this stuff happens, a first for him and we have been doing this for a while now.

Later that day I decided I needed a break so I would go to the gym. Didn't last long I was there for a total of 10 minutes, then the big loud speaker comes on, "WILL KAYSEA WADLEY PLEASE COME TO THE PLAYROOM." Uggg, well that's me. Go there and he has had another accident. Okay well let's go home I guess. The day just got worse. I am not going to bore you with it, but a bowl got broken, someone slapped someone (let me clarify this one, not me), someone poked someone in the eye, someone threw a wooden block at someone, and I yelled a lot.

OK time for some pictures. I am not sure why my son has to go to the bathroom like this but he does and I am also not sure why every child thinks they need the whole roll of toilet paper to wipe their bum, but they do. Enjoy!!

Big Boy Mitchel!!

Mitchel is 2 years and almost 10 months old. We decided it was time to get this potty training thing over with. We started last Friday and he hasn't had too many accidents. So far 3 I think. Not bad! We are celebrating by going to chuckee cheeses tomorrow. He is very excited about it.

Cute cars undies are working. I didn't get any pictures of this, but I will tell the story anyways. Klara has a baby entertainer thing that has a mirror on it and Mitchel knew there was a lightning mcqueen on his undies. Guess he really wanted to see it cause he was twisted and looking in the little mirror on her toy. It was so funny I tried really hard not to laugh. Their have been other times that he has tried to look at his bum to see the design on the undies. They should really put those on the front.

First Day of School

The first day of school for Bryce. The other two had to join in. The first week is over and already we have had some interesting experiences. A couple of days before school, Bryce got his glasses. That has been an adjustment, just to remember them is hard sometimes for him.

The first day of school I made him a yummy lunch. Made sure I had everything in there cause this was his first lunch at school and everything. Well he didn't get to eat ANY of it. I thought I was a good mom and put his name all over his lunch box, but that didn't matter. He had someone else's lunch at lunch time and didn't say anything, neither did the other boy. Found out after school when he asked me why I put brown stuff on his sandwich, peanut butter, I said Ididn't. Then I realized he was talking about another lunch with pb and j. He doesn't like pb and j so I never make it for him. We took the wrong lunch box back to his teacher and got his back the next day. Thank goodness I had a spare.
The third day of school he wasn't even able to go to. We had to take him to the dentist to get two molars removed. Ouch, I know. He has some permanent teeth coming in under the baby teeth that are the wrong ones. They pulled the teeth out after heavly sedating him and then we have to go back and put spacers in so he won't have more problems when the right teeth are ready to come in. Oh the pain I was in for him. I wished so much that he didn't have to do that. The dentist told me I needed to keep him home. Glad I did he was really groggy most of the day and even took a nap. The rest of the week went okay. Now onto week number two!! Hope all are enjoying their kids school as much as we are:)

Any Suggestions??

Went to the dentist this week. Thought I was doing good, just haven't been in a year or so. We had to wait forever for our insurance to kick in. Looked up what seemed like a good place. SEEMED!! Got in there and it took forever for them to actually see me. I had to ask for my teeth to be cleaned and they seemed mad about it. My gums bleed a ton because they are sensitive and I don't floss as often as I should, but then again that is why I am there. I am really not liking the water cleaning teeth thing. I don't know how to spell what it is actually called, but I really do love the traditional way better. Anyway get home and realize I have something stuck to my back tooth. Nope it is not my tooth, it is a hole that was not there before. What is up with that??? How could you make a hole in someone's tooth just from cleaning them?? Now my question, Anyone have a favorite dentist that I can see??? I would love to go back and get some work done, but not where I went on Monday.
